Comments:
This ambulance is used to transport cancer patients from Waterford Regional Hospital to the Whitfield Clinic for radiotherapy treatment. It was not based in Kilkenny town but was previously based at Clonmel ambulance station. It was put on the run in 1999 to facilitate ex nurse EMTs who hadn't got a licence to drive full size ambulances. The VW transporter parked beside it is used for less seriously ill cancer patients.
